House of Algorithms

We want to change the way we educate our children, our youth. We want to relook at what they learn and how. We want to move education away from exams, from certification, from degrees. In short, move away from anything that distracts us from the core of education: learning.

Exams, certification etc create a haze around true acquisition of knowledge. They are impediments to our creativity, to our understanding. But we were stuck with them because there were not too many ways to acquire knowledge.

Universities and Institutes have their place but they do not scale; they are good at creating islands of excellence but they do not offer a means to reach out to the vast majority of the population. Ironically, they lock knowledge inside their gates. And their walls are too high to be scaled by all but a few.

Technology has changed some of that. But technology alone cannot solve the problem. If we can dream of every person on earth having access to clean water, why cannot that person also have access to some useful knowledge?

To go foward, we require people. Good people. Capable people. We require people who can tell a story; who can pitch it at a level that a 14 year old can understand. And a 28 year old can appreciate.

We require you!
